The Master’s program “Science and Technology Studies. Economies, Governance, Life” at Goethe University in Frankfurt a. M., Germany, for the winter term 18/19. is accepting applications until 15 June 2018.
The Master’s program “Science and Technology Studies: Economies, Governance, Life” is an English-language program taught by cultural anthropologists, human geographers and sociologists. It offers students three areas of specialization: firstly, global economies, with their cross-border flows of capital goods and ideas that integrate populations and spaces into new transnational frameworks; secondly the emergence of new forms of governance that increasingly rely on technological standards, surveillance technologies and data infrastructures, and thirdly the capacity of biomedical technologies to produce new forms of life that destabilize the boundaries between nature and culture.
