Applications for participation as in the AESIS conference can be submitted for Entry tickets to the AESIS Impact of Science Conference 2019 and participation in conference dinner and social event. The funding adresses in particular young scientists (national and international) that will be selected by a „first come, first serve“ approach fo ra total of 30 tickets.
The AESIS Network (http://aesisnet.com/) has successfully organised the annual conference ‘Impact of Science’ six times, this year for the first time in Germany. The goal of the conference is the discussion and critical examination of causalities, correlations and preconditions for the different dimensions of scientific impact. For this purpose, regional, national and international instruments for evaluating and achieving impact are being discussed as well as policy strategies, indicators, interdisciplinary approaches and best-practice models. Another focus of the conference lies in the networking of experts with different backgrounds, such as R&D evaluators, university managers, research councils, policy makers, funders, and other stakeholders of impact.For this year’s conference, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with funding by Volkswagen Stiftung offers up to 30 young scientists the opportunity to attend the well-respected conference as well as the social events and conference dinner.
