On the 27th of October, actors involved in the “stsing” initiative have come together in Berlin to form an association, including the election of a board. The board has the task of founding the association and organising elections for an ordinary board. Details of the meeting will be presented in minutes.
The preparation of this event was mainly done on Mattermost, the social platform of stsing. This foundation was preceded by several years of discussion and a bottom-up process to create an open organisational structure. stsing is a platform that aims to strengthen the position of Science and Technology Studies in Germany and focuses on openness, diversity and creative cooperation in its organising.

Am 27. Oktober haben sich an der “stsing”-Initiative beteiligte Akteure in Berlin getroffen, um einen Verein zu gründen, wobei auch ein Vorstand gewählt wurde. Der Vorstand hat die Aufgabe, den Verein zu gründen und Wahlen für einen ordentlichen Vorstand zu organisieren. Einzelheiten der Sitzung werden in einem Protokoll vorgestellt.
Die Vorbereitung des Events fand hauptsächlich auf Mattermost statt, der sozialen Plattform von stsing. Dieser Gründung gingen mehrere Jahre der Diskussion und ein Bottom-up-Prozess zur Schaffung einer offenen Organisationsstruktur voraus. stsing ist eine Platform, die die Position der Science und Technology Studies in Deutschland stärken will und bei ihrer Organisation auf Offenheit, Diversität und kreative Zusammenarbeit setzt.
