The German team at the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher who will conduct empirical research on AI technologies in the realm of state administrations of migration and border management. It is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension depending on additional funding.
We are looking for someone with skills relevant to the project in areas of critical migration and border control, science and technology studies, critical data and algorithm studies or related fields.
Besides English, communication skills in German are welcome but not required.
The European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) is a joint academic venture of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt Oder (Germany) and the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (Poland) and based near Berlin. The chair for Sociology of Technology (Prof. Passoth) will take care of the research project.
