The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen is inviting applications for an Academic Coordinator (Salary group 13 TV-L, 39,8h/week):
The academic coordinator will be responsible for coordinating collaborative research initiatives in the area of interdisciplinary religious studies. S/he will be responsible, in particular, for managing high-profile collaborative research proposals that bring together scholars from the humanities, law, social sciences, and theology. S/he will assist in strengthening research cooperation among members of the Göttingen Campus, including the University, the Göttingen Academy for Sciences and Humanities, and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity. S/he will also help develop international partnerships with research universities in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Applicants for the position must fulfill the following requirements: academic degree (Master or Diploma) in the humanities or social sciences; high quality PhD in an area ideally related to the study of religion; very good proficiency (writing and speaking) in English and German; excellent team, interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should have proven experience with management of interdisciplinary research projects and administration of third party funded projects in Germany.
This position should be filled by the earliest possible date, preferably by November 1st, 2017. The position comes with a limited contract of two years.
