Part-Time Research Position with PhD opportunity
The Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (ITAS-KIT) has an open position in a new project researching the SARS Coronavirus. The Helmholtz funded “Airborne Transmission of SARS Coronavirus – From Fundamental Science to Efficient Air Cleaning Systems” (CORAERO) project aims at broad interdisciplinary contributions to understanding virus spreading through aerosols and designing technical and administrative measures for mitigation and virus control.
In the context of this project, we are looking for support in our research team with a focus on Technology Assessment regarding public perceptions, expert insights and different discourses of various COVID-19 mitigation measures, technological developments as well as ethical and societal implications (including on a global level).
Qualifications include a university degree (Diploma/Master) in the field of social sciences, social psychology, anthropology, political science or a comparable field of study as well as knowledge and experience in quantitative methods, qualitative and social science methods and are familiar with surveys, public perception, discourse and media analysis and focus groups.
Starting date: as soon as possible, duration of contract: 3 years, application deadline: 25.2.2022
