Responsibilities:
Research and teaching (4 SWS) for the sub-project “Affective spaces – experiences and emotions” in the context of the BUA research consortium “Museums as spaces of social cohesion”, esp. collection, assessment and analysis of historical and empirical data; surveys, interviews, field work; publication activities; networking; tasks toward attaining knowledge and skills concerning third-party funding research
Requirements:
Completed PhD in museum/heritage studies, cultural studies/sciences, cultural anthropology or related disciplines; demonstrable expertise in museum and/or visitor research; excellent knowledge and experience with quantitative and qualitative social science research methods; demonstrable practical experience of design and implementation of field work, interviews and/or surveys; experience of archival work and analysis of historical data; experience of archival work and analysis of historical data; experience working in interdisciplinary consortia; teaching experience; intercultural competences and willingness to engage in anti-racist and diversity-oriented reflection and development of the consortium and the sub-project; very good organisational and communicative skills; conscientious, independent and able to work in a team; experience with designing and implementing diverse formats of science communication and publication; adequate German language skills for reading and analysing source materials from archives and historical collections
