The Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel is currently looking for several dynamic and independent graduate students or medical doctors who are interested in carrying out their PhD work on different ethical topics including (a) mental health of aging prisoners; (b) smarter health care; and (c) open topic of their choice. All positions are fully funded either by the Swiss National Science Foundation or are funded research assistant positions.
The positions will start in July 2017 or at a negotiable date. (2018 will be a possibility for the open topic position.) The length of the PhD Program is three years.
The necessary qualifications are, among others, a Master’s degree in law, bioethics, medicine, and other related fields, excellent language skills in English, excellent Master’s and Bachelor’s academic grades, as well as Enthusiasm, responsibility, and interest in an academic career.
